Name: Wenting Wu

Year and Major: Year 4, Finance

Motivation to Join SERA:

I have always wanted to get some experience in research while I’m studying at Sauder, and SERA offered the perfect opportunity. Through our research projects, we gain valuable experience working with the Sauder community, exploring ideas, drafting proposals, carrying out research, writing research reports, and more. Sauder is among the first schools in the world to initiate student experience research, and I’m certainly excited to be part of that.

Name:
Leo Fankhänel

Year and Major: 2

Motivation to Join SERA:

As an international student at the University of British Columbia I am very excited to be able give back and contribute to the enhancment of the Sauder experience. Sera provides an opportunity for me to further my research skills while interacting with faculty members in an independent student based team environment. Having conducted marketing research while working at the derivatives exchange Scoach, Deutsche Börse Group, provides me with a solid foundation for my work.

Year and Major: 3

Motivation to Join SERA:

What got me excited about SERA was the opportunity to bring student voice in matters that were relevant and important to them. Whether it be through topics such as the new Canaccord Learning Commons design or teaching practices and resources, SERA can help ensure student initiatives meet and fulfill the needs of the student population. For this reason, I am excited to be part of SERA and I look forward to an amazing year!
